EPICDUEL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please note, we do have a Help Page Section on our Portal Site that answers account, payment and technical issues pertaining to all of our games, including EpicDuel.

Q. Who can play EpicDuel?
A. Everyone! You first need to create a Master Account at our Portal Site and link an EpicDuel account. Once you have linked either a brand new EpicDuel account or your Elite account, you can play. If you linked a new EpicDuel account, you will be prompted to create a new character.

Q: How do I play my EpicDuel account that I had before AE?
A: To access your old EpicDuel account you must first create a new BattleOn Games Master Account at our Portal Site. Then:

1. Click Register and create a new account.
2. Once you're logged in, select EpicDuel in the left Column.
3. Once the page appears, type in your OLD EpicDuel login information in the "Link old EpicDuel Game Account" fields.
4. Click Play to login to EpicDuel using your new Master Account login.

Q. What do I use to log into EpicDuel?
A. You use your Master Account Login and Password via our Portal Site.

Q. Did AE create EpicDuel?
A. AE did not create EpicDuel, but we loved the game so much we bought it and added the staff and game to our AE family.

Q. What happened to the Elite upgrade?
A. The Elite upgrade no longer exists. Players that previously upgraded to Elite will maintain their Elite status and receive a one time 20,000 Varium deposit.

Q. What is Varium?
A. Varium is a unique element with the properties of a metal and the qualities of a living organism. Unlike the metals found on the periodic table, Varium “grows” in a fashion similar to plants, it’s molecular structure going through a bizarre synthesis to replicate and increase in size and volume. It would appear that heat is the catalyst for growth, but Varium’s mysteries are far from being entirely unraveled. The most that can be said for this strange and desirable metal is that it is extraordinarily versatile and thusly yields value with no foreseeable ceiling.

Varium will work like a micro-currency, you can purchase it over and over as you run out.

Players can spend Varium to purchase advanced weapons, powerful armors, create factions, buy homes, and more!

NOTE: You can only purchase Varium by first purchasing Battleon Game Points and then redeeming them. You can purchase Battleon Game Points via our Portal Site.

Q: Can you tell me about "limited time" items such as the Founder Duel Master Armor and Beta Weapons?
A: The Founder Duel Master Armor was available until Jan. 18, 2010 for those players who joined EpicDuel after we became part of the AE family and launched into Beta Evolution. The Beta Weapons are available until we transition our of Beta, which will be sometime in the near future!

Q. What is EpicDuel's story?
A. You can read EpicDuel's Storyline here.

Q. How many classes are there?
A. There are three: Tech Mage, Bounty Hunter, and Mercenary.

Q: Can I change my class?
A: Yes, to change your character class, simply locate either M4tr1x or Ulysses in-game and click the "Change Class" button. You will be presented the option to retrain your character to any class you like! This process preserves your experience and battle record, but allows you to learn the skills and use the weapons of a different class!

Q. Is chat available in EpicDuel?
A. Yes.

Q. Can I customize how my character looks after creation?
A. Yes. You can find places to customize your looks.

Q. Does this game fit into the AE universe?
A. No, EpicDuel is its own universe.

Q: Is there any way to delete my EpicDuel character?
A: We have temporarily removed the option to delete your character from the Master Account system. We had a few players that accidentally deleted their paid characters and we didn't want it to happen to any more players. Until we add a modified version of the delete feature back to the system, you should just create a new Master Account and then create a new character. Later on, you will be able to unlink you new character and link it back to you main Master Account.

Q: I just retrained my character and lost all my items! What do I do?
A: Retraining simply resets your character. All of your items should still be in your inventory and you should still maintain all of the experience you've earned from battling NPCs and other players. Retraining is designed so that you can rebuild your character in different ways to try out other skills and arrive at a more suitable build. You can reapply your skill points and attribute points by clicking the yellow "Lvl+" Button in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Once you have applied all of your level ups, you should be able to reequip your items.

Q: Can I change my EpicDuel character name?
A: Yes, you can change your name with Varium in game.
